Team Canada moves to 2 and 0, Defeats Holland 6-1
The Canadian Men's National Bandy Team defeated Holland 6-1 to move to 2 and 0 at the 2008 Men's Bandy World Championships in Moscow. Canada plays in the B-Pool at the World Championships.
Canada was once again led by midfielders Brandon Ellement and Costa Cholakis. Their speed, passing and ball control were too much for the Dutch to handle. Ellement finished with his second consecutive hat trick, and Cholakis added two of his own. Brent Buydens had the other marker, showing nice hands around the net. Earning the win in the goal was veteran Team Canada tender Michael Lintick.
Canada's next action is at 12:00pm Moscow time on Tuesday Jan. 29 vs. Hungary.
